Restaurants & Bars
Restaurant 98 has the most incredible panoramic views where you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or head over to the open-air Bar 98 for tea-themed cocktails, wines, spirits and more. Both restaurant and bar have open sides and a rustic style to make you feel at one with the surrounding nature.
Meal Plan
You have a few options to choose from when it comes to the meal plans at 98 Acres. These options are Bed & Breakfast only, if you fancy eating out most of the time and Half Board or Full Board, if you think you'll be spending more time at the hotel. You can decide on what works for you and the team will be more than happy to accommodate.
Spa & Wellness
Just stepping into the spa, where wooden walkways are lined with pools of water lilies, is enough to induce a feeling of calm. At this cliffside retreat, the focus is on therapies that combine ancient wisdom with modern knowledge, from Ayurvedic massages to the signature two-hour tea-themed Ceylon Retreat. Activities
Take the chance to hike, bike or trek though the stunning scenery surrounding the resort. Or you can take a dip in the pool whilst looking out to the nearby hills and tea plantations. Why not go on a guided walk around the tea plantation to learn about Sri Lanka's history? 98 Acres also provides a private cooking class, a hands-on lesson in Sri Lankan cuisine.
Sustainability
The chalets are made from natural materials, including old wooden railway sleepers, granite and “illuk” straw thatch. All the buildings are positioned and constructed to benefit from cooling breezes, so air conditioning is not needed. The electric golf buggies used to carry people and things around the resort produce no emissions and almost no noise pollution. Ingredients for the kitchen and bar are sourced as locally as possible, which includes tea from the estate itself.
Rooms
There are only 36 rooms at 98 Acres Resort & Spa and these are set in thatched buildings that look like they are floating. Each room, from Deluxe to Premier Deluxe, has incredible views over the surrounding landscapes with dark wood furnishings and a balcony. The Grand Executive Suite is the only room which has its own plunge pool, perfect for a honeymoon treat!
