Scattered across the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles is a collection of islands where nature takes centre stage. Towering granite boulders, powder-soft beaches, emerald forests and crystal-clear waters create landscapes that feel almost untouched, while each island has its own distinct character and pace.
The Seychelles is best experienced one island at a time. Explore the lively charm of Mahé, cycle through the quiet lanes of La Digue or discover the lush forests and picture-perfect beaches of Praslin, where rare wildlife and some of the world's most beautiful coastline await. Island hopping allows you to experience the diversity of the archipelago, with every stop revealing something different.
Beyond the iconic scenery, the Seychelles rewards those who slow down. Spend your days snorkelling vibrant coral reefs, walking through nature reserves, enjoying freshly caught seafood or simply watching the changing colours of the Indian Ocean from a quiet stretch of sand. It's this effortless balance of adventure, relaxation and natural beauty that makes the Seychelles one of the world's most extraordinary island destinations.
things to see and do in seychelles
Silhouette Island
The 3rd largest of the Seychelles inner islands and north-west of Mahé, Silhouette has no roads or cars making it a perfect paradise escape. This island, carved from granite, has the most secluded beaches in the world and only one resort, the five-star Hilton Seychelles Labriz, overlooking the palm-fringed Anse le Passe.
Anse Source d'Argent
An awe-inspiring beach with world famous sunsets. It is one of the most Instagram-friendly beaches in the world with stunning views and dazzling white sands. It was also the backdrop for the movie Castaway starring Tom Hanks (and Wilson!)
Victoria
Located on the north-eastern cost of Mahé, Victoria is the smallest capital city in the world! With a vibrant food market, French colonial buildings, art galleries and a Botanic Gardens it is well worth a visit to get a flavour of local Seychellois life.
Curieuse
This small island is right next to Praslin, and is a popular destination for day-trips with nature trails, mangrove forests and a colony of 250 free-roaming giant tortoises. It was once a leper colony (but thankfully no longer!) and you can visit the ruins of the houses and a restored colonial villa called Doctor's House.
