DAY 1-3
HOKKAIDO
Begin your journey in Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost island. Touch down in Sapporo, a city known for its wide boulevards, craft beer, and easy-going charm. Over the next few days, explore Shikotsu-Toya National Park, home to pristine crater lakes and soothing hot springs surrounded by volcanic peaks.
Discover Hokkaido’s distinct culture and cuisine, from fresh seafood at the morning markets to rich miso ramen and delicate dairy treats that the region is famous for. Visit the historic port of Otaru, with its picturesque canals and glass-blowing studios, or journey deeper into the countryside to meet local farmers and artisans preserving the island’s traditions.

DAY 4-6
TOKYO
Travel south to Tokyo, and over the next few days, you’ll uncover the many faces of Japan’s capital, from tranquil gardens and centuries-old temples to buzzing streets filled with cutting-edge fashion, cuisine, and design. Begin your exploration at the serene Meiji Shrine, nestled in a forest of towering cedar trees, before moving on to the vibrant districts of Shibuya and Harajuku.
Delve into Tokyo’s cultural heritage in Asakusa, home to the city’s oldest temple, Senso-ji, and wander along Nakamise Street for traditional snacks and handcrafted souvenirs. Visit the elegant Imperial Palace Gardens, a calm green oasis amid the city’s futuristic skyline, or take in panoramic views from Tokyo Skytree.

DAY 7-8
NAGANO
Continue your journey into the Japanese Alps and the serene mountain landscapes of Nagano Prefecture. Over the next two days, discover a slower side of Japan.
Visit Zenko-ji Temple, one of Japan’s oldest and most important Buddhist sites, where pilgrims have gathered for over 1,400 years. Wander its incense-filled halls and, if you wish, take part in a traditional morning prayer ceremony. Then travel into the Jigokudani Valley to visit the famous Snow Monkeys, who bathe in the natural hot springs surrounded by snow-dusted pines.
Spend the evening in a traditional ryokan, where you can soak in a soothing onsen and enjoy a beautifully prepared kaiseki dinner showcasing seasonal mountain cuisine.

DAY 9-11
KYOTO
Travel south to Kyoto, Japan’s ancient capital and the spiritual heart of the country. Begin with a visit to Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, its shimmering reflection mirrored perfectly in a still pond, followed by the peaceful Ryoan-ji Temple, famed for its Zen rock garden. Wander through the lively Nishiki Market, where local vendors sell everything from pickled vegetables to matcha sweets, and take in the scent of incense drifting from tucked-away shrines.
Spend an afternoon in Arashiyama. Walk beneath the towering stalks of the Bamboo Grove, visit the serene Tenryu-ji Temple, and perhaps enjoy a traditional boat ride before returning to the city. As the sun sets, stroll through Gion, Kyoto’s storied geisha district, where the soft glow of paper lanterns and the sound of wooden sandals evoke a Japan of another era.
Round off your stay with a visit to Fushimi Inari Taisha, walking through thousands of vermilion torii gates that lead up the sacred hillside, or join a tea ceremony to experience the quiet ritual and grace at the heart of Japanese hospitality.

DAY 12
HIROSHIMA
Travel onward to Hiroshima, a city that has transformed its tragic past into a moving symbol of peace and renewal. Begin your visit at the Peace Memorial Park, here, the A-Bomb Dome stands as a haunting yet powerful reminder of history, while the Peace Memorial Museum offers a deeply moving look at the events of 1945 and the city’s inspiring recovery.
Later, take a short ferry ride to Miyajima Island, home to the iconic Itsukushima Shrine and its famous “floating” torii gate that appears to rise gracefully from the water at high tide. Wander the island’s peaceful trails, meet the friendly local deer, and soak in the calm atmosphere that contrasts so beautifully with the city’s energy.
Return to Hiroshima in the evening and perhaps sample okonomiyaki, the city’s signature savoury pancake, for dinner, a delicious reminder of Hiroshima’s warm, welcoming spirit.

DAY 13-15
OSAKA
Your final days are spent in Osaka, known as “Japan’s Kitchen,” Osaka invites you to eat, explore, and simply enjoy. Begin with a visit to Osaka Castle, an impressive symbol of samurai history surrounded by beautiful parkland, before heading to the lively district of Dotonbori.
Discover the city’s cultural side with a stroll through Shinsekai, a retro neighbourhood brimming with nostalgic charm, or browse the boutiques and cafés of America-mura, Osaka’s answer to Harajuku. Don’t miss Kuromon Market, where locals shop for seafood and street snacks.
In the evenings, Osaka comes alive in its own playful way: grab a seat at a local izakaya, sample some kushikatsu skewers, or take in the skyline from Umeda Sky Building’s Floating Garden Observatory. On your final day, enjoy some leisure time for last-minute shopping or relaxation before your transfer to the airport.
