The Grand Hotel is one of the most iconic landmarks in Nuwara Eliya. Built in 1891, it was originally the home of a British governor and is now a luxurious hotel. Visitors can enjoy a meal in the hotel’s elegant dining room or simply explore the grounds, which are beautifully landscaped with flowering gardens. The colonial-era charm of the Grand Hotel makes it a must-see for those interested in the region’s history. 

A visit to Pedro Tea Estate provides a fascinating look at one of Sri Lanka's most important industries: tea. Located about 3 km from Nuwara Eliya, the estate offers guided tours where visitors can learn about the tea-making process, from plucking the leaves to the final brewing. You can also stroll through the picturesque plantations and enjoy the stunning views over the rolling hills.
