The haveli was built 150 years ago and has since served as the suburban home of Samode’s royal family. Today the mansion has been beautifully restored as a heritage hotel offering extremely high levels of personalised service.
The building oozes tremendous old world charm with its whitewashed courtyards, hand painted frescoes, antique furniture, secret staircases and family memorabilia adorning the walls. The guests rooms are built around the courtyard with each one having a unique design. SAMODE HAVELI HIGHLIGHTS
Location
Samode Haveli is located in the heart of the walled city of Jaipur and is very well connected with major Indian cities by air, rail or road. The area around the hotel has busy markets and many shops selling souvenirs. It is best explore these either by foot or tuk-tuks.
Dining
The former dining hall of the royal family is now converted into Haveli’s main restaurant. The room has beautiful frescoes and cuisine is a choice between international cuisine and the traditional Rajasthani food. The meals can also be taken in spacious courtyards especially in the evening when it is nice and pleasant.
Accommodation
The small boutique mansion has just 38 rooms combing Deluxe rooms and various suites. Each of these is individually designed in traditional Rajasthani style and has either a private balcony or terrace facing the lovely swimming pool. The Sheesh Mahal Palace (palace of mirrors) is gorgeous with its glistening mirror work, curved arches and murals.
Facilities
The hotel has an excellent Ayurvedic Spa, fitness centre and an outdoor swimming pool with day beds and a sundeck. There is a jacuzzi and also wading pool for children as well as a Jacuzzi. The spa has treatments rooms and a sauna offering a wide range of massages. There are also beautiful gardens, courtyards and terraces.
