A Uganda holiday will almost always be centred around the chance to see the magnificent Mountain Gorilla in their natural habitat; the dense, unspoilt rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The wonders of this great country, however, run far deeper. Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park between them boast excellent game viewing, boat safari’s, chimpanzee trekking and breath-taking scenery. The snow-capped mountains viewed from the equator is a sight to behold, or a challenge to be conquered for the truly adventurous. Finally, the serene beauty of Lake Mburo sits in stark contrast to the white water rapids flowing from Lake Victoria into the River Nile.
A short visit to see the Gorillas can easily be added to any Kenya or Tanzania safari, but only by making Uganda the focus of the holiday, is it possible to appreciate what this great country has to offer.
