DAY 1-3
CAPE TOWN
On arrival in Cape Town, you will be transferred to the your first hotel of the trip.
Take in the sites of Cape Town. You may choose to do the Hop On Hop Off bus that can take you all around the city. Or you may prefer to explore one of the city's picturesque neighbourhoods. One of our favourite starting points is Sea Point. Here, you can follow a path right along the water that takes you all the way to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.
In the morning on your second day, you'll embark on a captivating full-day private tour of Cape Town. Begin your day with a ferry ride to Robben Island, the iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years.
On day three, your hire car will be dropped off at your hotel where you can then head towards Simons Town (about 40km). Another 25km further on you will find Cape Point, situated within the Table Mountain National Park. A section of this park is also referred to as The Cape of Good Hope. You may like to hike up to the light house at Cape Point or you may opt to take a ride up with the Flying Dutchman Funicular.
From Cape Point, head to see the African Penguins at Boulders Beach.

DAY 4-5
FRANSCHHOEK
Drive for just an hour from Cape Town to gorgeous Franschhoek, one of the oldest towns in South Africa. You will be spending the next two nights at the breath-taking Franschhoek Country House & Villas, one of the most beautiful boutiques hotels in the area!
Franschhoek is nestled between towering mountains and the beautiful Cape winelands. Famous for The Franschhoek Wine Tram, a hop-on hop-off tour, which is one of the best ways to discover the true essence of the Franschhoek Valley – picturesque vineyards, breath-taking scenery, warm hospitality, world-class cuisine, fine wines and a 300-year history.
Leave the car behind and jump aboard Franschhoek's famous vintage double-decker hop-on hop-off wine tram, offering you a leisurely way to explore the renowned wineries of the Franschhoek Valley.

DAY 6
OUDTSHOORN
Today you will drive to Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world! Spend the rest of the day at leisure or exploring this unique region. You may like to visit one of the ostrich farms in the area, where you can learn more about these odd birds.
You could meet the wildlife at Cango Wildlife Ranch. The Cheetah Preservation Foundation was founded here in 1988, with the principal aim of ensuring the survival of the cheetah and other endangered species, as well as educating their visitors about the plight of these animals.
Horse riding is also a very popular activity in this area, with horses for every age and ability.

DAY 7-9
PLETTENBERG BAY
Start the morning by exploring the Cango Caves before departing for Plettenberg Bay. Alternatively, you could join a sunrise meerkat safari and watch these charismatic creatures emerge from their burrows as they busy themselves with their natural morning routine.
A great lunch stop is the town of Kynsna, famous for its oysters and stunning coastal scenery.
Spend two days at leisure exploring the many nearby nature reserves and national parks full of hiking and horse-riding trails. Alternatively, relax on the beautiful beaches in town.

DAY 10-13
SHAMWARI PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
Today you will drive up to the Eastern Cape to enjoy the next few days on safari in Shamwari, the Eastern Cape's most prestigious game reserve. En-route, you could stop at one of the many viewpoints or short hikes in Tsitskamma National Park.
Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive, then spend the next three days enjoying the hospitality and expert guide services morning and afternoon included game drives.
