Fugitives’ Drift Lodge
OVERVIEW
Situated in Rorke’s Drift, KwaZulu-Natal, within a 5,000-acre Natural Heritage Site overlooking the Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift battlefields.
The lodge features 10 spacious luxury en-suite rooms, each with private verandas offering views of the plains flanking the Buffalo River Gorge.
Meals are served communally in the large dining room or on the deck, weather permitting, offering a combination of local and contemporary flavours.
The reserve is home to an abundance of indigenous flora and fauna species, including zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, and several different kinds of antelope.
Approximately a 4-hour drive from Durban International Airport or a 5-hour drive from O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.
The lodge houses the Harford Library and the Fugitives’ Drift Museum, which contain a selection of pictures, newspapers, and original artifacts related to the Anglo-Zulu War.
