DAY 1
MAUN
On arrival you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your lodge for the evening.
You'll have the rest of the day to spend at your leisure.
Set on the banks of the beautiful Thamalakane River in northern Botswana, Maun is the third-largest town in this spectacularly scenic southern African country. Maun is the starting point for most expeditions into the Okavango Delta and as a result, has developed into a bustling metropolis that is considered Botswana’s tourism capital.
Area attractions include a renowned riverboat that offers cruises up and down the Thamalakane River; the forest groves of the Maun Game Reserve; and Moremi Game Reserve, home to hippos, lions and rhinos. Maun also serves as the jumping-off point for many safaris and air charters as well as offering private 4x4 rentals. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Nhabe Museum exhibiting the local history, art and culture of the Ngamiland region.

DAY 2-4
MAKGADIKGADI SALT PANS
Enjoy a sumptous breakfast and relax until you are collected to return to the airport.
One of the highlights of the Makgadikgadi is the chance to see a wild but habituated mob of Meerkats. If you sit still enough they may even use you as a look-out post. These funny creatures may not be at the top of your safari viewing list, but after a close encounter like this, they will be a highlight of your holiday.
The area also gives you a chance to participate in a bush walk with the indigenous hunter/gatherers who have shared the land with the wildlife for millennia.
Horseback safaris and a 'doors off' helicopter flight can also be included at additional cost.

DAY 5-7
okavango delta
After your final game activity (time permitting) transfer to the local airstrip for your flight into the Lower Okovango Delta. You'll be flying low over the salt pans so enjoy the views!
On arrival at the airstrip, take a short drive through the bush with one of the guides from the lodge.
In the afternoon head out on your first of many game drives.
Included in your stay is a choice of morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris and mokoro canoe rides (seasonal).
Horse-back safari's are also on offer to experienced riders (additional cost).

DAY 8-9
PRIVATE KWARA RESERVE
No Botswana safari would be complete without including some water based activities in the Okavango Delta. After another thrilling light aircraft flight you will land just a short drive from your lodge in a part of the northern Delta with year round water.
After settling in you will head out on your first game activity for the afternoon, returning as the sun sets.
Chose from the various land and water based safari activities offered by the lodge, including game drives, night drives, nature walks, boat safaris, mokoro rides, fishing and special bird watching activities
In your down time during the heat of the day, relax by the pool with a camera in hand. With the river right in front of you wildlife can pass by at any time.
