ABOUT THIS ITINERARY
This wonderfully diverse itinerary combines the sands of the Central Kalahari with the wonders of the Okavango Delta.
After the Desert take a magical helicopter ride (Mokolwane camp only) or light aircraft into the Lower Okavango Delta.
Another helicopter or light aircraft transfer will transport you to the Upper part of the Delta. With year round water this is the perfect area to combine traditional game drives with boat safaris and Mokoro canoe rides. Viewing the wilderness from this unique perspective is an experience not to missed.

DAY 1-3
DECEPTION VALLEY, KALAHARI DESERT
On arrival in to Maun, transfer by light aircraft to your authentic camp in the north of the Kalahari Desert.
This unique habitat supports a surprising abundance of animal life, despite the harsh conditions they face. In the dry season the action is rarely far from the few remaining waterholes, while the wet season brings abundance to the valley and many species migrate here to birth their young.
Choose from the many included experiences offered by the lodge, such as game drives, bush walks and night drives.
During the heat of the day relax by the pool with a book and a pair of binoculars.

DAY 4-6
OKAVANGO DELTA
After your final game activity (time permitting) transfer to the local airstrip for your flight back to Maun. You'll be flying low over the Desert so enjoy the views!
Transfer to a waiting helicopter for an unforgettable ride into the Lower Okovango Delta.
The southern Okavango is known for excellent year round game viewing. The mix of open savannah and mopane woodland provides a perfect habitat for so many species. And with abundant herbivores, the predators are rarely far away. In fact, this area of the Delta boasts Africa's 3rd densest leopard population. Lions, Cheetahs and Wild Dog numbers are also excellent. So much so the BBC chose this area to film their 'Big Cat Diaries' documentary.
Included in your stay is a choice of morning and afternoon game drives, night drives, Mokoro rides (seasonal) and birding safaris.

DAY 7-8
MAPULA AND SEKWANA CONCESSION, NORTH OKAVANGO DELTA
No Botswana safari would be complete without including some water based activities in the Okavango Delta. After another thrilling helicopter flight you will land just a short drive from your lodge in a part of the northern Delta with year round water.
After settling in you will head out on your first game activity for the afternoon, returning as the sun sets.
Chose from the various land and water based safari activities offered by the lodge, including game drives, boat safaris, and mokoro rides.
In your down time during the heat of the day, relax by the pool with a camera in hand. With the river right in front of you wildlife can pass by at any time.
