Jack's Camp
OVERVIEW
Located in the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans (Kalahari region), within the Ntwetwe concession, a private reserve that borders the pans.
9 luxury tents (plus options for a private two-bedroom “Jack’s Private Camp”) built on raised wooden decks
Activities include game drives (morning, afternoon, night), walking with bushmen (San guides) to learn tracking, plants, culture, visits habituated meerkat colonies, quad-biking over the salt pans, horseback safaris and sleep-out under the stars (depending on season).
Houses a museum with artefacts (skulls, tools, antiques) and natural history displays; emphasises archaeology, geology, cultural narratives of the pans.
In wet/green season (Nov–Apr) the pans fill, zebra/wildebeest herds and flamingos migrate through. In dry season the pans become accessible for quad rides, sleep-outs, and desert species are more visible.
Camp is solar powered (with backup generator), limited WiFi (typically only in the curio shop or communal areas), no traditional air-conditioning in guest tents.
